About

Writing Journey

I am a poet from Virginia who writes over coffee each morning.  The subjects of my poetry range from embarrassing athletic endeavors (The Paddleboard Race) to odd historical quirks (Eyewitness) to other random things that just strike my fancy (Squirrel Mardi Gras).  I am an active participant  and huge fan of Wild Writing Circles, which is the forum through which most of my poetry seems to surface.

I am excited to share that my first two poetry chapbooks will be published in 2022.   Chalk Dust is forthcoming from Plan B Press, and In the Mind of the Anxious Traveler is forthcoming from Kelsay Books.

I post links to my published poetry on my website, but only post poems that have appeared in anthologies after six months has elapsed.  My recent poetry has been published in Boston Literary Magazine, The Parliament Literary Journal, Bluepepper, Sundial Magazine, Unique Poetry, The Poet, The Metaworker Literary Journal and Circumference Pi Magazine.

I am also the co-author of the book "Everydata: The Misinformation In the Little Data You Consume Everyday" with Mike Gluck published by Bibliomotion.  This book has no poetry, but if you are interested, check out my Ted X talk here.
